NRVS LVRS
NRVS LVRS
NRVS LVRS (pronounced Nervous Lovers) is the dreamy darkwave project of husband & wife duo Andrew Gomez and Bevin Fernandez. While citing acts like Massive Attack, Can, and Kate Bush as influences, their music flirts with caustic electro-pop elements similar to that of The Knife, Bat for Lashes, or Crystal Castles. The dulcet tones of Fernandez’ soaring vocals complimented by Gomez’ low crooning glide over layers of ominous synths, driving guitar, and precise percussion to create compelling electronic soundscapes.

San Francisco natives Gomez and Fernandez —recording as NRVS LVRS since 2014— can be found offstage crate digging at Amoeba and supporting the Bay Area art scene. The pair’s 2015 debut LP on Breakup Records The Golden West was praised by SF Weekly as “crepuscular and opaque, with a grimy layer to it that thinly disguises the vein of pop running through the song[s].” NRVS LVRS has since opened for acts like Jagwar Ma and Telekinesis and received glowing reviews from PopMatters and Noisey. They spent the summer of 2016 recording new music with producer Larry Crane at Jackpot! Studio in Portland and recently released their sophomore album Electric Dread on June 30th, 2017.
The Y Axes
The Y Axes
The Y Axes are a San Francisco-based indie outfit who play a unique blend of dreamy, synth-glossed pop and rhythmically muscular rock.

Alexi’s lyrics cut through the intricate riffs of guitarist Devin, while bassist Jack and drummer Paul lock up the rhythm with double-bass kicks and slaps. They combine intricate instrumentations and ethereal vocal melodies to create pop that is simultaneously energetic, anthemic, heartbreaking, and hard-hitting.
New Spell
New Spell
Dark indie pop with female vocals, this SF Bay Area project creates dynamic, cerebral music. The unifying force behind New Spell's sound is songwriter Leanne Kelly's airy vocals and synth-centered songwriting. Drums by Jacob Frautschi and electronic bass embellish compelling layers of sound in a uniquely captivating style.
Flour Flour
Flour Flour
Idaho-originated FLOUR FLOUR is a musical partnership forged by lifelong friends Brian Baughn (guitar/vocals) and Phil Wright (drums/synths). Having first worked together on electro-based pop songs in their teens, they went their separate ways after high school. 2015 saw them reunite. Now both based in the San Francisco Bay Area, older and possibly wiser, they are looking to recapture their original sound, as well as adding a few tricks that they've learnt along the way. Their influences include the Talking Heads, Radiohead, Aphex Twin and Joni Mitchell.
